A 28-year-old Albanian man, identified as Bekim Halilaj from northern Albania, was found dead hanging from a traffic sign along the Brussels Ring road on September 28, 2025. The location of the discovery was near the Westland Shopping Center, in the vicinity of Anderlecht and Dilbeek.
The Brussels public prosecutor"s office is investigating the incident as a potential homicide. As of now, no cause of death has been confirmed. There are unverified speculations regarding possible links to organized crime, but authorities have not released any official statements on this matter.
