Türkiye"s state-owned oil and gas company BOTAŞ has signed a 20-year agreement with Mercuria to supply 4 billion cubic meters (bcm) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually, starting in 2026. This deal is expected to enhance Türkiye"s energy security.
The agreement was announced on September 24, 2025, and marks a significant step in Türkiye"s efforts to secure stable energy supplies for the future. The partnership with Mercuria, a global energy and commodity trading company, is part of BOTAŞ"s strategy to diversify its energy sources.
