Ukraine has ramped up its drone production, now manufacturing 3,000 FP-1 long-range drones each month, matching Russia's output of Shahed drones. This significant development was reported by Defence Express on August 22, 2025.

The FP-1 drones boast an impressive range of up to 1,600 kilometers and a payload capacity of 120 kilograms. At a production cost of approximately $55,000 per unit, these drones not only exceed the capabilities of Russia's Shahed drones in terms of payload and range but are also more cost-effective to produce.

As previously reported, the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia has intensified the focus on drone warfare, with both nations seeking technological superiority in the skies. The FP-1’s production surge comes amid heightened military operations, indicating Ukraine's commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities.

The increased output of FP-1 drones is likely to impact the battlefield dynamics significantly, providing Ukraine with enhanced surveillance and strike capabilities. This development underscores the evolving nature of modern warfare, where drone technology plays a pivotal role in strategic operations.
