China's aircraft carrier Fujian sails to Sanya, spotted with CNS Shandong

China"s newest aircraft carrier, Fujian (18), has sailed south to Sanya and was spotted alongside the CNS Shandong (17) for the first time. This development occurred after Fujian transited the Taiwan Strait in mid-September, completing sea trials and integration tests in the South China Sea in preparation for its upcoming commissioning.

During this southern voyage and associated training operations, there has been a notable increase in activity from the People"s Liberation Army (PLA) air and naval forces.
