China's PLA expands mock replicas of Taiwanese government buildings

China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has constructed and expanded detailed mock replicas of Taiwanese government buildings at its Zhurihe training base in Inner Mongolia. The models include the Presidential Office, Judicial Yuan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, road networks, and a 280-meter underground tunnel.

Recent satellite imagery indicates that the Zhurihe site has nearly tripled in size since 2020, with new additions observed as recently as April 2025. These developments are designed for large-scale urban warfare drills.
