German Foreign Minister Wadephul met with Israeli Foreign Minister Sa"ar to discuss bilateral relations, the implementation of Trump"s Gaza Plan, and ongoing negotiations in Egypt. The meeting took place following Wadephul"s participation in a gathering of EU foreign ministers with the Gulf Cooperation Council in Kuwait earlier on the same day.
After his discussions in Israel, Wadephul is scheduled to travel to Cairo to meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti on Tuesday. This meeting will focus on the current status of negotiations. Indirect talks between negotiators from Israel and the Hamas militia began today in Cairo regarding the implementation of Trump"s peace plan.
