Israel is reportedly paying U.S. social media influencers $7,000 per post to promote pro-Israel content. This initiative follows a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a group of pro-Israel influencers in New York on Friday, September 29, 2025. The effort aims to counter declining support for Israel among young conservatives in the United States.
The information comes from Nick Cleveland-Stout of Responsible Statecraft, who analyzed a disclosure filed with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). While the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is exempt from FARA registration, this social media campaign falls under the law"s provisions because it is funded by Israel"s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The campaign is being managed by Bridge Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based firm founded by Yair Levi and Uri Steinberg. They have enlisted the assistance of Nadav Shtrauchler, a former major in the Israel Defense Forces spokesperson unit. For legal support, they are working with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, a firm that has previously represented the controversial Israeli spyware company NSO Group.
This initiative reflects a broader trend of governments utilizing social media influencers to shape public opinion and bolster support.
