Israel is set to withdraw its troops to the agreed "yellow line" as part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan. The withdrawal is expected to occur within 25 hours, after which a 72-hour period will commence for the handover of Israeli hostages.

As of now, Israeli forces maintain control over 58% of the Gaza Strip. Troops remain stationed in several areas, including Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoon, parts of Gaza City"s Shujayea, Tuffah, and Zeitoun, more than half of Khan Younis, nearly all of Rafah, and all crossings in and out of Gaza.
