Israeli special forces reportedly abducted Dr. Marwan al Ahmas, the former director of Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, during an operation near the "Fish Fresh" restaurant in northern Rafah on recently. Al Ahmas, who is also the official in charge of field hospitals in the Hamas Ministry of Health, was taken by a unit that emerged from a Toyota vehicle.
Witnesses reported several casualties and injuries during the incident, which occurred in an area known for the presence of Yasser Abu Shabab’s militia.
