Lockheed Martin unveils Vectis, a modular Collaborative Combat Aircraft

Lockheed Martin"s Skunk Works has unveiled the Vectis, a new modular Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA). The announcement was made on September 21, 2025. The Vectis is smaller than an F-16 and is designed to be runway-dependent. It is intended for a variety of missions, including air-to-air, air-to-ground, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.

The Vectis is built for adaptability and survivability, utilizing the Agile Drone Framework. It is designed to integrate with existing fighter aircraft, specifically the F-22 and F-35. This new aircraft represents a significant advancement in military aviation technology.
