Monaco, Belgium, Andorra, Malta, and Luxembourg have formally recognized the State of Palestine during a United Nations General Assembly summit on Monday, September 23, 2025. These nations join France, which co-chaired the summit alongside Saudi Arabia, in recognizing Palestine at the opening of the meeting.
On the preceding day, Australia, Britain, Canada, and Portugal also acknowledged the State of Palestine. Additionally, Spain, Ireland, and Norway had recognized Palestine in May, while Sweden had done so in 2014.
