Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) was temporarily closed on Sunday evening due to an unidentified drone entering restricted airspace, according to ENAIRE. The airport halted operations for 35 minutes, during which eight flights were diverted to Ibiza and Menorca, resulting in delays for passengers.
Normal operations at the airport resumed by 7:35 p.m. German publication Bild has suggested a potential Russian link to the incident, although this claim has not been confirmed by authorities.
