The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have captured the headquarters of the Sudanese Armed Forces" (SAF) 22nd Division in Babanusa, effectively ending a two-year siege. This development marks a significant defeat for the SAF in West Kordofan as the RSF continues to regain momentum in the ongoing Sudanese Civil War.
Following this latest loss, the SAF is left with only one remaining outpost in the province, located near the border with South Sudan at the Heglig Oilfield. It is anticipated that this outpost will likely become the next target for the RSF.
