A Russian An-22 "Antei" heavy transport aircraft, operated by the Ministry of Defense, crashed during a post-repair test flight in the Furmanovsky district of the Ivanovo region. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
There were seven crew members on board the aircraft at the time of the crash, and all are feared dead. Debris from the plane has been recovered from the Uvod Reservoir. An investigation into the crash is currently underway.
