Russian forces have made significant advances in Pokrovsk, Ukraine, capturing key districts and areas as of October 19, 2025. They are now present in nearly all regions south of the railway line.
After breaching Ukrainian defenses in the southern suburbs, Russian troops consolidated their positions in the Hospital District and entered the Prospecta District, securing at least four southern blocks. Ongoing combat is reported as Russian soldiers and reconnaissance groups infiltrate north towards the city center and the railway station.
Additionally, Russian forces have completely taken control of the four high-rise districts in southern Pokrovsk, forcing the remaining Ukrainian soldiers to withdraw. They have crossed the E-50 highway and moved into the southeastern streets of the Sobachivka District.
To the northwest, Russian forces are advancing in the Pervomaika District, consolidating their presence in several new residential blocks and moving towards the school and city center. In the west, they have secured the remainder of the Durniak District and are pushing east through the northern Pervomaika District into the city center, where fighting continues. They have also expanded their control west of the Durniak District and increased the grey zone in Pokrovsk"s northwestern industrial area.
Large portions of Pokrovsk remain in the grey zone due to ongoing combat, a critical shortage of Ukrainian manpower, and a complex state of control.
