The South Korean government has lost all of its data after consolidating all of its servers in one physical location without any backup systems in place. The G-Drive, which housed the data, was unable to implement a backup system due to its large capacity.
In connection with this incident, four individuals have been arrested. Additionally, a government worker who was overseeing efforts to restore the data center has died after jumping from a building.
This situation highlights significant vulnerabilities in data management practices within government operations. As previously reported, the lack of a backup system has resulted in a total loss of critical information.
