Türkiye has finalized a significant agreement with US manufacturer Boeing for the acquisition of over 200 commercial aircraft, enhancing the fleet of Turkish Airlines. The deal was signed during President Erdoğan"s visit to the White House.
The agreement includes Boeing"s 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner jets, which will support Türkiye"s objective of accommodating 171 million annual passengers by 2033. This development is expected to strengthen aviation ties between Türkiye and the United States.
The deal follows other recent developments in Türkiye"s economic partnerships, including a $43 billion LNG deal with the US to import 4 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas annually.
This agreement marks a significant step in the expansion of Turkish Airlines and reflects Türkiye"s commitment to enhancing its aviation infrastructure.
