U.S. President Donald Trump announced the approval for exports of NVIDIA H200 chips to vetted buyers in China and select countries. This decision follows direct discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The shipments will comply with strict national security safeguards, which were agreed upon by Xi. Additionally, 25% of the revenues generated from these exports will be directed to the United States to support domestic manufacturing and job creation.
This trade and technology agreement is expected to unlock billions in access to the artificial intelligence market while prioritizing American interests.
