On Sunday, September 21, 2025, President Donald Trump made a post on Truth Social that criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice for their inaction in prosecuting several political opponents from the Obama and Biden administrations. Approximately one hour later, Trump issued another post praising Bondi for her performance as Attorney General.
In his latest post, Trump also announced his recommendation of Lindsey Halligan, a member of his legal team and currently serving as Special Assistant to the President, for the position of U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
This development follows Trump"s ongoing calls for the Department of Justice to expedite criminal indictments against various political figures, as previously reported.
