#BREAKING | The White House has announced details of President Donald Trump"s Gaza Peace Plan, aimed at resolving ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas. The plan includes an immediate cessation of hostilities upon mutual acceptance by both parties.
Under the proposal, Israel commits to not occupying or annexing Gaza in the long term. Additionally, all Israeli hostages, both alive and deceased, held by Hamas must be released within 48 to 72 hours of the agreement. In exchange, Israel will release approximately 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans detained since October 7, 2023.
Hamas is required to fully disarm and decommission its weapons. Members who comply will receive amnesty and can reintegrate peacefully, while non-compliant members or those wishing to leave Gaza will be granted safe passage to receiving countries. Hamas will be explicitly barred from any future governance role in Gaza.
The plan designates Gaza as a demilitarized zone, monitored internationally, with limited Israeli border security oversight during the transition. An international stabilization force may be deployed, potentially including troops from Arab and Islamic states like Indonesia.

A technocratic Palestinian committee, composed of qualified Palestinians and international experts, will manage day-to-day services initially. Oversight will be provided by a new "Board of Peace," chaired by President Trump and including figures such as former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. This body will manage funding and redevelopment until the reformed Palestinian Authority (PA) assumes full control.
Humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts will resume immediately upon acceptance of the plan, including infrastructure rehabilitation and the reopening of the Rafah crossing. A "Trump Development Plan" envisions Gaza as a special economic zone with preferential tariffs.
The U.S. will mediate dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians regarding a political horizon for peaceful coexistence, potentially leading to a disarmed Palestinian state in close security cooperation with Israel. This is contingent on PA reforms and addressing key issues such as Israeli settlements and the status of Jerusalem.
Security guarantees for Israel will include regional assurances, a gradual withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tied to compliance with the peace deal, and training for a Palestinian police force under Israeli supervision.
