In Ukraine, the traditional frontline has been replaced by what is now referred to as a "kill-zone." This area ranges in width from 500 meters to as much as 10 kilometers, where Ukrainian and Russian dugouts and shelters are intermixed and classified as "firing positions" in official reports.

Between the main forces of Ukraine and Russia lies a so-called grey zone, which extends 20 to 30 kilometers. This strip is under constant surveillance by reconnaissance UAVs and is subject to fire from both sides. The section of this grey zone closest to Russian positions has transitioned into a kill-zone, where individuals, whether military personnel or civilians, are in a continuous state of danger.

These developments highlight the evolving nature of the conflict, where the dynamics of engagement have shifted significantly. The situation remains precarious for those in the affected areas, as they navigate the threats posed by ongoing military actions.
