Bill No. 6327, which proposes fines for promoting homosexuality, pedophilia, and transgender ideology, has been submitted to the Ukrainian parliament for consideration. The bill outlines specific penalties for various violations related to LGBT issues.

Fines proposed in the bill include over 51,000 UAH (approximately $1,240 or €1,060) for individuals, up to 85,000 UAH (approximately $2,040 or €1,760) for legal entities, and close to 85,000 UAH for government officials. The bill aims to impose fines for actions such as the production, distribution, and public use of products featuring LGBT symbols, public recognition of same-sex love as normal, advertising or advocating for marriages not recognized by the Constitution, public calls for sexual relations between individuals of the same sex, and denying the increased risk of HIV among LGBT individuals.

The Ukrainian Constitution currently states that marriage can only be concluded between a man and a woman. Article 21 of the Constitution of Ukraine defines marriage as "a family union between a woman and a man, registered in the state registry office."

This legislative proposal reflects ongoing discussions in Ukraine regarding LGBT rights and societal norms. For more on similar situations, see recent developments in Ukraine"s draft law on LGBT propaganda.
