In a statement released earlier today, the Estonian Defence Forces reported that on October 17, two unidentified drones were detected operating around Camp Reedo, located near Võru. Camp Reedo, which opened last year, currently hosts NATO Forces in Estonia, including the U.S. Army’s 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment (5-7 CAV).

During the incident, one of the drones was downed using an anti-drone rifle. However, the Estonian Defence Forces were unable to locate the drone or any fragments, despite receiving assistance from the Estonian Police and Border Guard.

This incident highlights ongoing security concerns in the region, as NATO forces remain stationed in Estonia. For more on related coverage, see recent developments regarding international security issues.
