U.S. military officers attended the Russia-Belarus Zapad-2025 war games on Monday, September 15, 2025. Belarusian Defence Minister Viktor Khrenin informed the officers that they could observe “whatever is of interest” and engage with military personnel during the event.
The visit included representatives from 23 countries, among them NATO members Turkey and Hungary. This engagement is seen as a sign of improving relations between the U.S. and Belarus.
