Two U.S. Navy aircraft, an MH-60R helicopter and an F/A-18F Super Hornet, crashed separately in the South China Sea on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The incidents occurred approximately 30 minutes apart. All five crew members aboard the aircraft were safely rescued.
President Trump commented on the crashes, describing them as "very unusual" and suggesting that they may have been caused by fuel issues. Investigations into the incidents are currently underway.
