The United States has deported between 30 and 60 Russian citizens, marking the second mass deportation of Russians since the onset of the war in Ukraine. The deportees were flown from the U.S. to Cairo before continuing their journey to Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.

This latest operation follows a similar flight in June, during which approximately 40 Russians were sent back to their home country. Dmitry Valuyev, president of Russian America for Democracy in Russia, confirmed the current deportation numbers and highlighted that many of those expelled fear political persecution in Russia. Among the deportees was a soldier accused of desertion.

Upon arrival in Russia, law enforcement officials conducted lengthy interviews with the returning individuals. Reports indicate that one person was detained, while ten others were released under a travel ban, leaving their future uncertain.

This incident underscores the ongoing tensions and challenges faced by Russian migrants in the U.S. amid a climate of heightened scrutiny. As previously reported, the situation reflects a broader trend of immigration enforcement in response to geopolitical conflicts.
