Video: NEO, a home robot marketed as a universal household assistant, goes on sale in the U.S. for $20,000 or can be rented for $500 a month. The robot can clean, fold clothes, wash dishes, water plants, and entertain children. During the first year, NEO will be mostly controlled manually by remote operators from India while the AI learns. The manufacturer claims faces are blurred and data is protected, with owners advised to mark “restricted zones.” NEO stands 168 cm tall, weighs about 30 kg, can lift up to 70 kg, and runs for four hours on a charge. Mass production is planned for 2026, with color options in black, beige, and gray.
