Video: Footage shows the Panama-flagged oil/chemical tanker M/T Mersin sinking off Senegal's coast after an alleged attack linked to its transport of Russian oil products.

The M/T Mersin, a 50,000 DWT vessel owned by Türkiye's Beşiktaş Denizcilik, is 183 meters long and was built in 2009. The ship frequently called at Russian ports, including Novorossiysk and Taman, before routing toward Africa. Its AIS signal was last detected five days ago at coordinates approximately 14.608°N, 17.279°W in the North Atlantic.
