[Video] Russia loses manned space launch capability after Baikonur tower collapse

Video: Footage shows the collapse of a service tower at Baikonur Cosmodrome's Pad 31, which has impacted Russia's ability to conduct crewed space missions.

The incident occurred after the successful liftoff of the Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft to the International Space Station this morning. Debris from the mobile service platform fell into the launch pad's fire trench, damaging access bridges and making the site inoperable.

Pad 31 is Russia's only active facility for Soyuz human launches, and experts estimate repairs could take up to two years.
