Australia has reduced its price cap on Russian oil from $60 to $47.60 per barrel. Additionally, the country has blacklisted 95 more vessels from what is referred to as Moscow’s “shadow fleet,” raising the total number of sanctioned vessels to over 150.
The Australian Foreign Ministry stated that these measures were coordinated with international partners, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Japan. The objective of these actions is to undermine Russia’s energy revenues during its ongoing military operations.
